995 FIFTH AVENUE
In 1926, pre-eminent New York architect Rosario Candela was commissioned by Lord Rothschild to design 995 Fifth Avenue, more notably known as the former Stanhope Hotel. Long admired for its elegance, Georgian character, and distinguished history, Extell re-envisioned The Stanhope as 995 Fifth Avenue, a residential cooperative offering 26 masterwork homes of rare scale and elegance. These most generous and gracious residences offer unforgettable views of Central Park and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
An acclaimed team of architects, preservationists, and interior designers worked with Extell to meticulously restore the classic limestone and brick facade while incorporating state-of-the-art infrastructure, technology, and the finest modern details.
